The report presents some problems and best practices for providing open access to digital repositories for scientific publications in social sciences and humanities (SSH). Editions in SSH have specifics that concerns publications in many national languages, deep archives, metadata, search, etc. As an example, the Central and Eastern European Online Library – CEEOL has been chosen, because CEEOL is a leading provider and a repository offering a highly specialized and comprehensive collection of fulltext publications in SSH. Over 75% of the editions indexed in CEEOL are open access. The study analyzes the main characteristics of CEEOL as: services, functionalities, opportunities for using its resources and the state of the Bulgarian collection.References
